The Case for Choosing Us
Why Bezel Workshop
There are many places that service watches. There are fewer that understand what a fine timepiece actually needs — and what it doesn't.

What You Can Expect
Specialist Expertise
Our watchmakers work exclusively with mechanical and automatic movements. This isn't a side-line service — it's what we do every day.
Written Condition Reports
You receive a clear written summary of the assessment before any work is agreed. What needs attention, what doesn't, and why.
No Obligation Assessment
Inspection & Care ends with a report and a quote. You decide whether to proceed. There's no pressure to commit to further work.
Correct Parts, Properly Sourced
We take the time to find original or correctly matched components. No generic substitutes that might affect the watch's running character or value.
Full Restoration Documentation
Every restoration produces a detailed written record. Collectors and future owners will know precisely what was done, when, and how.
Calm, Clear Communication
We communicate in plain language and keep you informed at each stage. You're never left wondering about the status of your watch.
In Depth
Each Benefit, Explained
Professional Expertise
Bezel Workshop's technical team brings formal horological training and field experience across Swiss and Japanese mechanical movements. Our head watchmaker trained with workshops in Switzerland and Japan, and continues to study movement architecture across different periods and manufacturers.
This depth of knowledge matters when something is wrong and not immediately obvious, when part sourcing requires genuine understanding of movement history, and when a collector asks specific questions about what was — and wasn't — done to their watch.
- 18+ years combined experience in mechanical horology
- Swiss and Japanese movement specialisation
- Vintage and collectible watch knowledge
Equipment & Method
We use professional-grade timing machines, magnification equipment, and ultrasonic cleaning systems appropriate for high-value mechanical work. Our tools are maintained and calibrated to ensure the measurements we report are accurate and meaningful.
We do not use shortcuts that might be acceptable in volume service environments but would compromise precision work. Drying, curing, and testing times are observed fully.
- Multi-position timing measurement
- Professional ultrasonic parts cleaning
- Water resistance pressure testing
Service Approach
We treat every enquiry as the beginning of a considered conversation. Owners often arrive with questions as much as with watches — and we welcome that. Understanding what you want to preserve, what concerns you, and what you'd like to know about your watch helps us serve it properly.
Updates are given at each stage of the work. Nothing significant is changed without your agreement in advance.
- Intake consultation before work begins
- Stage-by-stage progress communication
- Nothing done without prior agreement
Transparent Pricing
Our service prices are the starting point for each level of care. After inspection, we provide a written quote with a clear breakdown. If parts sourcing or additional work is needed beyond the initial scope, we explain the reasons and the cost before proceeding.
The goal is always that you understand exactly what you're paying for and why it's the right approach for your watch.
- Starting prices published: ฿4,100 / ฿20,500 / ฿48,500
- Written quote before commitment
- No hidden additions without discussion
Outcomes That Matter
A well-serviced mechanical watch should run within its manufacturer's stated tolerance, feel secure on the wrist, and retain its original character. A well-restored vintage piece should be indistinguishable from its original condition in all the ways that matter to a knowledgeable owner.
We focus on these outcomes — not on speed of turnaround or volume of pieces processed. Your watch leaves in a better state than it arrived, with documentation to confirm what was done.
- Rate accuracy verified to manufacturer tolerance
- Originality and character preserved
- Post-service documentation provided

What's Distinctive
What Only Bezel Workshop Offers
Written Assessment, Always
Every Inspection & Care service ends with a written summary of findings and recommendations. Not an off-hand comment — a document you keep. This is standard at Bezel Workshop, not an optional extra.
Patience on Vintage Parts
For vintage and collectible pieces, we take the time to source correct parts through our network rather than substituting whatever is on hand. This may extend a timeline, and we'll tell you so — but it preserves the watch's integrity.
Conservative Finishing Philosophy
We do not repolish cases that should retain their original surface character. Over-polishing is one of the most common ways collectors lose value from fine watches. We discuss any finishing work with you before it happens.
Accessible to Visiting Collectors
Chiang Mai is a frequent destination for expatriates and travellers. We are experienced in receiving watches from owners who are not locally resident, handling correspondence in English, and arranging secure returns when needed.
